Organic Carrots: Little Finger (500mg) Description:

Add some crunch to your meals with Organic Little Finger Carrots grown from Patriot Seeds. Carrots are a nutritious and versatile vegetable that can be eaten raw or cooked. These Little Finger Carrot seeds are heirloom and non-GMO, plus they are certified organic by the USDA and CCOF. The seeds are open-pollinated so you can grow, harvest, and replant your carrot crop endlessly. Carrots are a hardy plant that can be grown in most regions.

Little Finger Carrot Planting Instructions:

Little Finger Carrots prefer full sun. Plant the seeds in the spring, 2 to 3 weeks before the last frost. Sow the seeds inch deep and inch apart, in rows 12 to 24 inches apart. For improved chances of a successful crop, plant in deeply worked soil with a fine, weed-free seedbed. It is important to thin plants to reduce competition. Thin to 1-4 inches apart before the plants are 2 inches tall. Plant additional seeds every three weeks through midsummer to continue your harvest through the fall. Plant crops for fall harvest about 10 to 12 weeks before the first frost.

Little Finger Carrot Harvesting Instructions:

The carrots are ready for harvesting to begin when they turn bright orange. That should be about 60 days from planting. To harvest small batches of carrots, use a hand trowel, being careful to stay far enough from the plant that you can avoid damaging the carrot. If conducting a larger harvest, use a pitchfork or shovel and dig along the side of the row. Pull the tops of the carrots up and shake soil from the roots.

Did You Know This About Little Finger Carrots?

Little Finger Carrots get their name from their small size. Because they are so petite, they are one of the few container-friendly root vegetables. You can grow them even if you have a patio or balcony garden!

The best seeds we've ever planted April 13, 2016
Reviewer: Beth from Warner, NH United States
Our family began using My Patriot Supply seeds last year and were very impressed with the quality and crop we received. These are high quality seeds that I can feel good about knowing they are GMO free. This spring I planted early and a friend came to help. She brought some organic seeds from a different company to plant as well and within 24 hours the MPS seeds were already sprouting while hers took more than a week to begin popping up. I highly recommend MPS to anyone who is looking to plant a garden!

Reviewer: Judy from Bradford TN United States
Recently moved farther south and trying cool weather veggies in a variety of containers.  All the plants (beets, carrots, swiss chard, collards, kale and cabbage) were up within 8-12 days and growing healthy and fast!  Thank you Patriots for the terrific seeds!

All seeds I planted grew June 4, 2015
Reviewer: Deborah Shevenko from Nunnelly, TN United States
but I had the same problems as the Radishes. By the time I figured out what I did wrong there were only a half dozen carrots left and I had to keep re-burying them every time it rained. I did manage to get 6 carrots though.
Any Help info. Would be appreciated.
