Organic Swiss Chard: Rainbow Blend Planting Instructions:
Plant Rainbow Blend Swiss Chard seeds indoors 5-6 weeks before the last frost to transplant. Directly sow seeds 1/2 - 1” deep, 2-6” apart in rows 18-24” apart, 2-3 weeks before the last expected frost date. Reduce water and fertilizer to harden off plants. When 3-4” high thin seedlings to 6-12” spacing. Mulch plants to retain moisture and suppress weeds. To get “bright light” colors, start seeding earlier indoors.

Organic Swiss Chard: Rainbow Blend Harvesting Instructions:
Rainbow Blend Swiss Chard is ready to harvest in approximately 60 days when plants are 6-8” tall. Cut off the outer leaves 1-1/2” above the ground with a sharp knife. Harvest outer leaves for continual production. If you harvest the whole plant, cut it back to about 3” above the soil and it will grow back. Leaves more than 10” in length may have an “earthy” taste.

Great germination rates September 8, 2016
Reviewer: Jocelyn James from Ocala, FL United States
Seeds are always fresh and have a high germination rate. Even the second year. You cant beat the price and they come in easy resealable foil packets. This is my second time ordering seed from MPS and both times I have been impressed with them.
