This book is very detailed giving lots of alternative methods for preserving the harvest. While giving step-by-step for the beginner, it also is not condescending to those who've been canning and drying for years.

mostly recipes but ok with book, not a lot of info on best equipment to buy, more online work to have equipment that you will want.
