Homemade Pickles Cucumber Planting Instructions:

Homemade Pickles Cucumbers grow in full sun. Direct sow 1 to 2 weeks after average last frost, when soil temperature is at least 60°F. Plant seeds 3&34; apart in groups of 4-6 seeds, covering with ½" of soil. Space each group 19-20" apart, thin to 3-4 seedling per group when they are 1-2" high. Plants can be started 3 to 4 weeks before last frost and will need to be hardened off before planting in your garden. Or, if space is limited, plants will grow on a patio or deck in a 5-gallon container.

Homemade Pickles Cucumber Harvesting Instructions:

Begin harvesting when cucumbers are 1-1/2" for gherkins or 3-5" for pickling. Cucumbers are tender and tastiest when harvested young, before their seeds are fully developed. To avoid damage, cut from the vine rather than pull off.
