Organic Broccoli: Romanesco Planting Instructions:
Plant the seeds in full sun, spaced 2" apart ad covered with ΒΌ" of soil. Once the seedlings are 1 to 2" tall, thin to 16" apart. If starting indoors for transplanting, plant the seeds 8 weeks before you plant to transplant. When the seedlings have at least three pairs of leaves, they can be transplanted. Harden the seedlings off first by moving them to a sheltered place outside for a week before planting. Cover or bring the plants inside if there is danger of frost. Place seedlings 16" apart in rows 2' apart, burying the root ball so that it is even with surrounding soil. Water thoroughly and apply a light mulch to suppress weeds and retain moisture.

Organic Broccoli: Romanesco Harvesting Instructions:
For peak quality, harvest when the buds are firm and tight. Cut off the central head plus 6" of the stem. If the buds start to separate and show the yellow petals inside, harvest immediately. Broccoli can be frozen for future use.

Did You Know This About Romanesco Broccoli?
