Peppermint (500mg):
Peppermint's fresh fragrance makes it a welcome addition to teas, homemade salves, and more. You can enjoy peppermint's benefits by growing peppermint in your own garden. This hardy herb is friendly to most growing regions. Peppermint seeds from Patriot Seeds are 100% heirloom and are open-pollinated, so you can grow, harvest, and replant your peppermint crop endlessly. When you're ready to declare your food independence, buy Patriot Seeds!

Peppermint Planting Instructions:
Peppermint can be sown indoors before transplanted outside after the danger of frost has passed, or it can be planted as a potted plant. If starting indoors, plant the seeds 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost. After a week or two, seedlings should emerge. Transplant to full sun or partial shade. Because mint breeds can spread out vigorously, they do best in containers or in raised beds. To prepare a bed, turn the soil under to a depth of 8". Set plants 18" apart. Make sure the weeks are kept under control and the plants get about 1" of water a week.

Peppermint Harvesting Instructions:
Harvest peppermint leaves as needed. Before the plant flowers, cut stems 1" from the ground. After cutting plants back, you may get a second harvest in the same season. Used fresh or dried, peppermint can be used as an ingredient in a healthy and delicious tea. You can also use the leaves to freshen salads and desserts.

Did You Know This About Peppermint?
Peppermint oil is used in construction and plumbing as a way to test the pipes for leaks. If the scent of peppermint can be detected outside of the pipe, it's a good indication that the pipe has a leak.

Haven't yet seen the results of the planting, but I love that your seeds are chemical free. That shows me you really care about the patriots you serve. Great service! Also impressed by the sturdy and easy to open and close packaging.

Turns out you can't start peppermint from seed.  Everyone I have gone to for advice, every website, permaculturist, etc. has reassured me that you can not do it from seed. It has to be grown from another plant!! Why do seed supply stores sell The seed,  because they can! And it makes them money! Nothing but a scam.
