I have tried many "long term" foods and have found them all to be lacking. I was very impressed right from the beginning upon opening the box. The mylar bag containers impressed me as maybe even being possible to withstand 25 years time (I am always skeptical on long term claims, figuring that the company will be long gone in much shorter time.) Three of us ate the Tortilla Soup (4 servings in a bag) and I was again skeptical while preparing it as I wondered how the rather small portion could feed 4 - My niece and wife were heartily satisfied with a large bowl each and I almost couldn't finish the 4th bowl. I wanted to - it was delicious. To say delicious in this context is never believable, so let me re-phrase that. I will serve this to dinner guests and claim I made it! I hate writing reviews and rarely do, but this one made me want to write it in support!!!

I love the 72-hour kit as a very cost-effective way to try your food products. I plan on sharing them with family who are interested, so haven't tried the meals yet. Your food variety and pricing are some of the best I've found.
