"I bought this a while ago and tried it to see how it works. I get that it only cuts by friction. It broke immediately even being careful with it. I cant even tell you how much cheapo camping trash I've wasted money on over the years from this place. They'll call and say they want to "make it right", but it's really just to placate you when they offer a credit for more useless false advertised crap. I have pics so I'll keep posting reviews online until it really gets made right."

"My experience purchasing this item was effortless. Upon inspecting it, it is obvious that this handsaw is very well made, and the material of the cable appears to be plenty sharp and durable. I expect it should hold up well. I can't speak to how well it works as I have yet to try it out."
"Unfortunately it doesn't work well at all. Both my husband and I tried it on a dried out, upright 2inch diameter branch, and it caught after about 1/8 inch in. Worked really well for about 6-8 sets, and we got excited. But once it catches, there is no amount of teasing, tugging, that would make it go again. Tried several times. Now it will reside in three bottom of the camping box, because hope dies last. The saying goes"if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". And in this case it holds true."
