"Flavor was good but the recommended water amount was not enough and the meal would not fully rehydrate after 20-25 minutes. The meal was starting to cool off by that time. I haven't had this problem with several other brands I have used."

"This Chili Mac is really good! Full of flavor and very filling. So far all the Beyond meals I’ve tried have been amazing. They all have had great flavor and very satisfying. They must have hired a chef from a 5 star restaurant. They are without a doubt the best freeze dried meals I have had."

"Really wanted to give it a 3-1/2 star rating, but can't, so 4 it is! First of all I am used to hiking and eating Mountain House . (MH) Meals, so that's my comparison. Just like with the other 2 Beyond Outdoor Meals I have tried so far, this needed just a little more water and a little more time than what was suggested on the package. The beans were crunchy even after waiting an extra 5 minutes. We were hiking & didn't feel like heating more water in the Jet Boil, so just added a little more lukewarm water to the package, it helped. The meat was FAR, FAR superior to MH Chili Mac! But on the flip side, I missed the more tomato/spicy taste of MH. Overall it was pretty good."
