"Here's an update on the fake pans. The description does say 201 stainless, but it doesn't say what the core is made out of probably toxic aluminum. They're trying to scam me into more useless garbage instead of refunding me even if I got tricked into buying like 2 years ago."

"I ordered this mess kit from here some years ago. In the past year or so I've started to use the "stainless steel" saucepan to cook regularly. I just went to heat up some stuff in there yesterday only to find that the whole bottom of the pan had broken and crumbled off. Last time I checked; stainless steel doesn't do that. That means one of many cost cutting scams such as fake stainless steel (low nickel; 201 or 430), cheap metal core, poor spot welding or weak brazing. I've probably been eating aluminum as this trash fell apart. I don't see anything that states the steel quality on here which is a red flag for a scam. Avoid these cheap Chinese pans as they are trash, falsely advertised, and probably dangerous to you and your family."
