Assembly, Cleaning & Care

Cleaning the Chambers

The exterior of each stainless steel chamber is easy to keep clean: simply dust with a soft cloth. Prior to first use, rinse the interior of each chamber with cool, clean water.

It's best to clean the chambers each time you replace your filters. Simply wash with dish soap and warm water. Allow to dry completely before storing.

Cleaning the Filters

Mineral content in untreated water may cause mineral buildup. While this does not impact the filtration process or water quality, you can clean the filter's exterior if desired.

Exercise special care when removing the filter from the upper chamber. Scrub the filter's exterior with a scour pad and clean water—without soap—then rinse thoroughly and replace in the upper chamber.

When you begin to notice a drastic change in water flow rate, it's time to replace your Alexapure Pro Water Filtration System's filter. Make sure to change your filter regularly to ensure your system is performing optimally.

How many filters do I need?

Each filter supports about 3 people and produces roughly 1 gallon per hour.
For larger households or faster flow, consider adding extra filters (the system can hold up to 4 at once). This ensures you’re never waiting on clean water when you need it most.

How do I troubleshoot slow flow or filter issues?

If water isn’t flowing or slows down, here are a few quick fixes:

Vapor Lock: Loosen the top lid slightly to allow airflow between chambers.

Air Bubbles: If your filter dried out during storage, soak it in water for 24 hours. You can also gently suck through it like a straw to remove trapped air.

Storage Tip: If not using your filter for more than a week, seal it in a plastic bag with filtered water and refrigerate it. Never let it dry out completely.

Pre-Primed: Filters may arrive wet—that’s intentional. They’re sealed and ready to use out of the box. Some filters come with a cap, others don't. All are safe and ready to use.

Can I use water from a river, lake, or rain barrel?

Yes—but we recommend pre-filtering cloudy or high-sediment water using a cloth or mesh before adding it to the unit. The Alexapure Pro is designed to handle many water sources, but filtering cleaner water helps extend the life and performance of your filter.

What's the Return Policy?

We accept returns on unused and unopened products within 30 days.
However, because the water filter is sealed for safety and hygiene, opening the pouch makes it ineligible for a full refund.

If the filter has been opened, a $75 restocking fee may apply.
