- Does it come in individual portions, or just loose in the bucket?
- The fire starter is in bulk and is not packaged in portions.
- I am concerned about storage. Would this be safe to store in a metal box in my crawl space? Can this ignite by itself? I plan to store it as a prepper so it could be stored for years and I want to be safe in my home.
- Hi! It is safe to store indoors or outdoors, even near food and won't cause any conflicts with local flammable storage ordinances. With a 30-year shelf life, you can always have some InstaFire fire starter on hand for recreational purposes or as part of your emergency-preparedness plan.
- Is the fire starters individual bags or loose in the bucket? Purchased the bulk bagged ones...love them! Thank you for your help

- What is the MFG date? I cannot find it anywhere on the bucket that I purchased.
- If you recall when you purchased it, you can put that year on the bucket and count 25 years from there. With the ingredients of this particular item, it doesn't truly expire, nothing will happen if you use it after 27 or 30 years.
- What is the shelf life? The description states up to 30 years, but the product label states up to 10 years. I sent an email on 2/8/21 but did not receive an answer yet.
- The label on this product is not accurate at this time, and should state that the shelf life is up to 25 years as stated on the website.
