A new American Farm Bureau Federation survey shows that fertilizer challenges are not a forecast. They are happening right now. The survey, which included more than 5,700 farmers and ranchers, found that around 70% of farmers said they cannot afford all the fertilizer they need this season. As fertilizer prices and availability issues continue, some farmers are applying less, planting less, or walking away.
