Multiday storm threat targets over a dozen states with severe weather, flood risk from Midwest to Northeast

A multiday severe weather threat is putting millions of people across the Midwest and Northeast at risk for destructive winds, large hail, tornadoes, and flash flooding. The setup follows a damaging outbreak that already left widespread damage and power outages across more than 10 states. With storms repeatedly targeting some of the same areas, the biggest concerns include downed trees, power outages, flooded roads, travel disruptions, and dangerous conditions that can develop quickly.
